Main Street, Warren, Idaho

A LITTLE HISTORY: Gold was discovered in the vicinity of Warren in 1862 by James Warren, who erected a log cabin at the mouth of Slaughter Creek. A village quickly sprung up around it. This backwoods, slow-paced village is the home of the legendary Polly Bemis (Lalu Nanthoy) who is the heroine of the movie A Thousand Pieces of Gold and the novel by the same name.
Currently the town of Warren, Idaho, where the property is located, consists of a post office, (see the "Contact Us" page) the Winter Inn (a bar/cafe) and nine winter residents...which increases to about 30 residents, during the summer.
